Week One

Description
I would like to create a non-profit website for someone at my church.  They would like me to create a webpage for a new company that they would like to create.  The basic idea behind the website is that a member will anonymously pay for someones meal.  They will give the waiter a business card with this website on it, and the website will contain steps to becoming a Christian.

Audience
This website will be aimed at a large demographic.  It will be friendly and appropriate for all ages.  My goal is to create an inviting website that does not have any sway towards a particular age group.  The ultimate goal is to create an inviting page for non-Christians.

Content
The homepage will contain a simple statement that will contain our message.  It will have a brief summary of what we are offering, and what our website contains.
The message page will contain our invitation and the complete message.  It will explain what it means to be a Christian and how to become one.
Our about page will explain our purpose.
We will have a page that has a utility to find churches near you.  This website will not be aimed towards a particular church or denomination.

Delivery
The website will be very plain and simple.  The text will be very straight forward.  There will be subtle graphics, but not enough to distract.  The pages will all have a similar layout and theme.

Goals
1.  Create a website that has a warm and inviting feeling.
2.  Create a useful app that finds nearby churches.
3.  Create simple text that is not too overbearing.

  1. This sounds like an amazing website. Great idea. Not many people try to help others and this is a great way to make it anonymous.

How will you get this website out to others to join the cause?

  2. I did not talk to the person creating this company about that yet, but I did think of an idea. Within the website there would be a page with basic contact information. The content of this page would offer an option to help if you are interested. If you sign up, we could order business cards for them.
