Week 5

There will be one graphic on each side.  They will each be from the same picture.  The image will be in RGB format because it is more compatible.  The overall color feel will be warm.  I intend to have some orange in the image.  The image will span across the background so it will have to be large.  I would like the image to be at least 1024x768.  There will be no animation on the graphics.  It would be too distracting.  There will be no interactivity with the background.  It will have a smooth gradient on the edges.  I would like it to be a Jpeg or a Bitmap image.  The image would be 72 dpi.  There will be some flash implemented on the navigation, but there will be very few other graphics.  All of the bordering features will match the background.  The graphic will be slightly visible in the background of the body.

  1. I would make the background one solid color with no gradients. Gradients distract the eye. I think iiit would look great with a simple slick design. Majority of websites I see usually use one color. Also what are the pictures for at the bottom of the post?

  2. I have to agree with OhBeOne, choosing a single color will keep from distracting the eye. The viewer will be more focused on the content rather than graphics. Unless your goal is for the user to focus on those specific colors or graphics because it deals with what you're selling or describing.

  3. The images are potential backgrounds. There would be one background that would be visible in the areas labeled graphics. The gradient would not be very wide. It would be used to quickly transition colors.
